welcome p-patch gardeners

In this patch we grow more than food.
We grow calm, we grow kindness, and we remind each other that a little dirt on your hands can bring a lot of peace to your heart.

We have guidelines and recommendations for making your experience and plot successful. Please read through our Gardener’s Handbook: P-patch Garden Rules.

gardener’s pledge

As a steward of this vibrant p-patch, I pledge to nurture not just the soil and plants but the spirit of our community.

I promise to:

  • Tend to my garden with both dedication and delight.

  • Respect my neighbors’ plots, keeping my fingers—and my plants—on my own side of the line.

  • Embrace the art of organic gardening, choosing natural solutions over chemicals.

  • Share the bounty of my plot when it “overflowith.”

  • Supervise my little helpers and furry friends, ensuring they respect the garden as much as I do.

  • Commit to clear communication, addressing any differences with my fellow gardeners with kindness and humor.

  • Participate in upkeep of common areas, because a generous spirit is the best fertilizer.

  • Be open-minded and learn from others.

  • Embrace the rhythms of the seasons, winterizing and cleaning my plot with care, ready to greet spring’s return.

In this p-patch, I will keep my heart open, my hands dirty, and my spirit light. I hope to find joy, community, the wisdom of nature and hopefully, good earthworms!
