team building and group opportunities
How’s that saying go: Many hands make light work. Indeed! Many hands is also more fun. Shared experiences, bonding and commraderie ensue while giving back to the community.
harvest time
From July to November, we’re bringing in the Orchard’s harvest with your help. Some are City Fruit led, others organized by the Orchard Gardens.

Windfall happens. Let’s clean it up! Next come the woodchips to encourage healthy, water permeable soils for our heirloom fruit trees. Student volunteer hours verified.
blackberry brigade
Yes, everyone hates dealing with them, right? And yet, there’s a rare breed that secretly loves taking them down. You know who you are!
cider pressing
Both adult and student volunteers are essential to making this day AMAZING. Plus who can resist freshly made cider? Student volunteer hours verified.
native garden stewardship
Native plant aficionado? Interested in learning? Come join those tending our native pollinator plants in the Restoration Area/Native Plant Garden.
orchard steward program
A longer term commitment for those who want to dig deeper into heirloom orchard care. Help coordinate volunteer groups, plan pruning, soil care and more.
adopt-a-tree
